Loaded Limbs

The more the merrier is what seems to be the saying for jewelry this season. Its all about loading up the wrists with bangles and about every finger is adorned with a stone. We seem to be taking que form African neck rings but on another body part with highly stacked bangles that go up to the elbow. Rings are thrown on all at once however they have a theme. You can't just throw on every ring in your jewelry box, there is a method to the madness.The combination of the two overloads comes out looking very gypsy and hippy with a hard edge to it.

I adore when people know who they are and when you look at their work you know who did it because it is so them. Well, Paolo Roversi(photographer) has this. In all of his work there is an eerie wonder with the lighting, or better lack of lighting and blur effect to the photo. Its not an eerie ending feeling, its more of a demented curiosity for the beauty in the shadows and the night time.

You Caught My Eye at First Snap

In the most recent issue of V magazine I was drawn to a spread that was very controversial. I wanted to see more, and yet I was scared to keep flipping the page. The pictures were haunting and I started looking at the photographer's, Mario Sorrenti, other work and adored what I saw. He has a way of getting the attention of the viewer.
